Association of Dutch savings owners who had 100 thousand króna balance in the Icesave accounts of Landsbanki in the Netherlands say they will file a lawsuit on Iceland to the management of the European Union and the Surveillance Authority of EFTA if the balances are not paid out next week.

The dutch group things that since the Icelandic government has insured the balances of savings owners in Iceland includes a discrimination and so a violation of the EU, if the balance owners of Icelandic banks in other EEA nations do not have the same rights.

The group, which call themselves Icesaving, sent a letter to Johanna Sigurdardottir, prime minister around mid April where it says that the lawsuit will be filed on May 6th if the payment has not been made. There has not been any answer to the letter.
