Ragna Arnadottir minister of justice and human rights has set a work group to see what chances are at hand within the valid law and international co-operation to intensify surveillance on foreigners and insure that the authorizations that are at hand are being used to eradicate organized crime here in Iceland. In an announcement from the ministry says that this is about both the foreigners who are using their rights about free travel according to the contract about the European economy zone and those who are outside of that right. Amongst other will be a review about if it is possible to take up a temporary passport surveillance or non systematic surveillance both on the borders and within them and the group is made to make suggestions of improvement. In the work group are Sigridur Bjork Gudjonsdottir, police chief of Sudurnes, who is also the chairman of the group, Gudbrandur Gudbrandsson, police representative of the national police chief, Thorsteinn Gunnarsson chairman of the immigrant office, Johann Karl Thorisson main police duty officer of the police chief of the capital area, and Jon Petur Jonsson, assistant chief constable of the police chief of Sudurnes.
